NEW (TO THE MA LIBRARY) MYSTERIES AND THRILLERS

Two Perfect Lies - Natalie D. Richards

Lily befriended Clara when no one else would and they’ve been inseparable for a year. But all of a sudden Lily starts acting strange and she discovers Lily may be planning something dangerous. Clara tries to warn people, but she quickly realizes that Lily has turned the tables and is framing Clara for a crime she didn’t commit. Clara needs to clear her name, but it’s tough since all of the evidence points to her. Luckily her old friend Henry believes her and they team up to uncover the truth before it’s too late. I was totally invested in Clara’s situation and I stayed up way too late because I had to find out what happened!

Most Likely to Murder - Lish McBride

When a prank list of mock yearbook superlatives starts coming true in terrifying ways, best friends Rick and Martina find themselves labeled Homecoming’s Cutest Corpses. When a teacher on the list turns up dead, the pair must team up with the other targeted students to unmask the real killer. Equal parts darkly funny and fast-paced, this mystery turns high school gossip into a high-stakes race against time.

I absolutely loved this book. The characters are funny and snarky but also have a lot of heart. Rick and Martina have amazing families and I loved that the characters weren’t stereotypical. This book is a super fun thrill ride!

Seven All Alone - Kirsty McKay

Ten years after escaping a kidnapping, Maggie reunites with the six other teens who survived alongside her on a school trip to the Scottish Highlands. When a storm leaves them stranded in the wilderness, they discover that someone knows what really happened during their kidnapping—and is determined to keep them from telling the truth. This book is super fast-paced and high-stakes—perfect if you love locked-room suspense and survival stories!

It Came From the Trees - Ally Russell

During an overnight scout trip in the woods, Jenna's best friend disappears, snatched away by something massive, shadowy, and definitely not human. Desperate to rescue her, Jenna teams up with two unlikely scouts to plunge deep into the dark forest, following clues left behind by the creature. It’s a creepy, fast-paced creature-feature mystery that will keep you checking over your shoulder the entire time you read!

That’s Not My Name by Megan Lally

A teenage girl wakes up on a dark road with zero memory of who she is—and the man claiming to be her father might be hiding a terrifying secret. Meanwhile, Drew is frantically searching for his missing girlfriend, Lola, convinced the police are covering up the truth. Told from alternating perspectives, this twisty thriller is packed with fake identities, chilling secrets, and shocking revelations that will keep you guessing until the very end! This is one of my all time favorite books!!!!

The Escape Game by Marissa Meyer and Tamara Moss

Six months after contestant Alicia Angelos was found dead on the set of the hit reality show The Escape Game, her sister Sierra enters season five to uncover the truth. Many believe Sierra got away with her sister's murder, but she's not competing for fame or cash—she's out for justice. Grouped with an unlikely team of teen puzzle whizzes, Sierra must navigate deadly escape rooms and hidden clues to catch the real killer before they strike again. This is my favorite book of the year!
